Abstract
This study deals with two research problems namely (1) What is the theme in the movie of Armageddon by Robert Roy Pool and Jonathan Hensleigh?; (2) How is the theme and other aspect in the movie Armageddon by Robert Roy Pool and Jonathan Hensleigh?. Qualitative method was used to analyze the data in this study. The data were taken from the movie that is supported by the movie script. It is relevant because the script contains a specific information about the element in the movie. This study used theory from (Kenney, 1966) from the book “How to Analyze Fiction”. The discussion is focused on the theme of Armageddon movie. The data were collected through library research by watching the movie, reading the script, and note taking. The result of this study is that the theme in the Armageddon movie is love theme, survival theme, and patriotism theme.
