An Analysis of Characterization of Main Characters in Cinderella 2021 Movie

In the thesis entitled “An Analysis of Characterization of Main Character in
Cinderella 2021 Movie”, characterization of main character analysis became the
main topic in this study. Identifying the characterization of main character in
Cinderella 2021 movie and analyzed the main character described in the Cinderella
2021 movie became the objectives of this study. The data source in this study was
taken directly from the Cinderella 2021 movie, where main characters’
conversations and some captures were taken as the data. The data were collected
through observation method where consist of some steps where mainly focus on
watching the movie Cinderella 2021 and reading the script of the movie Cinderella
2021. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method by using
theories related with the topic were used, theory proposed by Kenney (1966) used
to identify the characterization of the main character in the Cinderella 2021 movie,
and theory proposed by Wellek & Warren (1956) used to analyzed the main
character described in Cinderella 2021 movie. The data were analyzed by using
descriptive qualitative methods and presented by formal and informal methods.
Based on the result of the analysis, the main character in this movie is a complex
(round) character. Furthermore, the characterization of the main character explained
through three aspects of character, there are physiological aspects, sociological
aspects, and psychological aspects.
