ANALISIS KESALAHAN MAHASISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN PEMBUKTIAN TAK LANGSUNG PADA MATERI GEOMETRI NON-EUCLID

ABSTRACT
This study aims to describe the errors that occur in students in completing indirect proof on Non-Euclidean Geometry material. The method used is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 35 students of Mathematics Education Program FKIP Mahasaraswati Denpasar University in the third semester. Researchers provide two indirect proof problems to students. The results showed that there were nine types of errors that occurred. The first error, namely proof of error without supposition; the second error, which is an error in determining the presupposition; the third error, namely errors in referring to the basis of proof (postulate or theorem); the fourth error, namely the error without concluding, the fifth error, namelythe error writing symbols; the sixth error, which is proof of error based on a picture or case; the seventh error, namely the error of logical reasoning; The eighth error, namely the error in understanding the problem, and the ninth error, namely the error of proof is incomplete. This research is important to be carried out so that Educators can decide the right learning strategy for students so that errors can be minimized.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan yang terjadi pada mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan pembuktian tak langsung pada materi Geometri Non-Euclid. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar semester III sebanyak 35mahasiswa. Peneliti memberikan dua masalah pembuktian tak langsung kepada mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sembilantipe kesalahan yang terjadi. Kesalahan pertama, yaitu kesalahan pembuktian tanpa pengandaian;kesalahan kedua, yaitu kesalahan dalam menentukan pengandaian;kesalahan ketiga, yaitu kesalahan dalam merujuk dasar pembuktian (postulat atau teorema); kesalahan keempat, yaitukesalahan tanpa menyimpulkan, kesalahan kelima, yaitukesalahan penulisan simbol; kesalahan keenam, yaitu kesalahanmembuktikan berdasarkan gambar atau kasus; kesalahan ketujuh, yaitu kesalahan penalaran logis; Kesalahan kedelapan, yaitu kesalahan dalam memahami soal, dan kesalahan kesembilan, yaitu kesalahan pembuktian tak lengkap.Penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan agar Pendidik dapat menentukan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat kepada mahasiswa sehingga kesalahan yang terjadi dapat diminimalisir.
