AN ANALYSIS OF CHARACTERS THROUGH CHARACTERIZATION IN CRUELLA MOVIE BY CRAIG GILLESPIE

Character in a movie is very important and characterization can be used to describe each of these characters. This study raises two problems, namely what the types of characters and how the characterization of the characters from Cruella movie is. The theory is taken from Tarigan (1985) and Warren and Wellek (1962). The data source of this research was the movie Cruella by Craig Gillespie. This is qualitative research and the data were collected through observation and note taking techniques. Based on the result of the analysis, there are twelve characters found in this movie. There are some characters have complete aspects of characterization and some of them have one or two aspects. The supporting character just appear several times in the movie, they do not really influence the main or other characters. That is why their characterization cannot complete.
