Abstract

The researcher was interested in undertaking the present study which dealt with assessing Descriptive Paragraph Writing Ability Of The Seventh Grade Students Of SMP Ganesha Denpasar In Academic Year 2021/2021 through guided question and answer. The present study used ex post facto as a research design. The present study was intended to figure out the achievement of descriptive paragraph writing ability of the seventh grade students of SMP Ganesha Denpasar in academic year 2020/2021 which was assessed by administering guided question and answer test. The samples under study were the seventh grade students of SMP Ganesha Denpasar in academic year 2020/2021 are of three classes with 40 students‟ altogether. The data which were needed They were determined by means for the present study were collected through administering guided question and answer test as the research instrument. The obtained data were analyzed by using normreference measure of five standard values. The results of the data analysis showed that there were 70% of the samples who were successful and the others 30% of samples who were unsuccessful in writing descriptive paragraph which was assessed by administering guided question and answer.
