Furthermore, to present the analysis, formal and informal method were used. The theory from Katamba (1993) used to classified the types of derivational affixes. Theory proposed by McCarthy (2002) was used to identified the function of derivational affixes and theory from Lieber (2009) to analyzed the structure of word containing derivational affixes. This Study found 309 words attached derivational affixes that consists of class changing and class maintaining affixes. Class changing affixes found from data source there were suffix -ly, -ness, -ity, -an, -ance, -ish, -ism, -ment, -al, -er, -ion, -ing, -age, -ation, -ful, -able, -ent-, -ive, -less, -ic, -y, -ate, and prefix en-. Meanwhile, class maintaining affixes found from data source were prefix un-, dis-, re-, in-, im-, il-, and suffix -hood, -ship, -ist. Moreover, the most frequent data shown to be class changing affixes that consists of 271 data and the least common types is class maintaining affixes with 38 data
