AN ANALYSIS OF THE ONOMATOPOEIA FOUND IN “DONALD DUCK IN SHERIFF OF BULLET VALLEY” BY WALT DISNEY’S COMIC

This study was conducted with the following objectives to find out the types of Onomatopoeia words found in Donald Duck In Sheriff of Bullet Valley Comic and to describe the Context and situation of Onomatopoeia Word found in Donald Duck In Sheriff of Bullet Valley Comic. To answer the research problems the theory proposed by Elizabeth (2013) was used to analyze the types of Onomatopoeia and Halliday and Hasan's (1989) theory to describe a context and situation found in Donald Duck In Sheriff of Bullet Valley. Based on the result of the discussion, there were 6 types of onomatopoeia words found and context situations presented in the formal and informal methods shown by the use of table percentage and descriptive paragraph. These 6 types were 5,6% of Food Preparation and Eating, 19,4% of Fighting Onomatopoeia, 13,9% of Animal Onomatopoeia, 22,2% of Musical Onomatopoeia, 5,6% of Fast Motion Onomatopoeia, and 33,3% of Mechanical Onomatopoeia with the type of these mostly found in the Donald Duck In Sheriff of Bullet Valley comic.
