Abstract
The subjects were the seventh-grade students which consisted of 29 students. The researcher was done in two cycles. Moreover, to collect the data needed, the post-test was administered in the end of each cycle. The result of post-test I and posttest 2 showed that there was significant improvement of the subjects writing skills and it was categorized as good. As a result, the score of the pre-test was 42.00, posttest 1 was 65.69, and post-test 2 were 74.18. Then, the present research also showed that improving their writing skill. The questionnaire percentage Strongly Agree showed that 33.8% of the subjects strongly agreed. 58.8% of the subjects agreed, 6.9% of the subjects undecided. 0.3% of the subjects disagreed, and 0.00% of the subjects strongly disagreed. To sum up, The present classroom action research proved that the writing skills of the seventh-grade students of SMPN 3 Ubud in the academic year 2023/2024 can be improved through Tell-show Strategy with Pictures.
