HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DENGAN PENERAPAN KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA PADA MAHASISWA KEPANITERAAN DI RUMAH SAKIT GIGI DAN MULUT SARASWATI DENPASAR

Abstrak

Keselamatan kerja merupakan suatu program yang bertujuan untuk mencegahkemungkinan timbulnya kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja. Pekerjaan di bidangkesehatan, termasuk dokter gigi dan mahasiswa kepaniteraan, memiliki risiko tinggiterpapar penyakit dan kecelakaan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengevaluasi hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan penerapan keselamatandan kesehatan kerja (K3) pada mahasiswa kepaniteraan di Rumah Sakit Gigi danMulut Saraswati Denpasar. Metode penelitian korelasional digunakan denganpengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Subyek penelitian ditentukan denganmenggunakan rumus slovin dan metode purposive sampling yaitu para mahasiswakepaniteraan di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Saraswati Denpasar yang aktif dalammenangani pasien, berjumlah 76 mahasiswa. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakanuji spearman rank. Sebanyak 76,6% dari 55 responden mahasiswa kepaniteraanmemiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja, dansebanyak 72,3% responden memiliki penerapan yang baik terhadap keselamatandan kesehatan kerja. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antaratingkat pengetahuan dan penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (P<0,05).Semakin baik pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa kepaniteraan, semakinbaik pula penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja yang dilakukan.

Abstract

Occupational safety is a program aimed at preventing the possibility of accidentsand work-related illnesses. Occupations in the healthcare field, including dentistsand medical clerkship students, have a high risk of exposure to diseases and workaccidents. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between the level ofknowledge and the application of occupational safety and health (K3) amongclerkship students at the Saraswati Dental and Oral Hospital, Denpasar. Thecorrelational research method was used by collecting data through questionnaires.The research subjects were determined using the Slovin formula and purposivesampling method, namely clerkship students at the Saraswati Denpasar Dental andOral Hospital who were active in treating patients, totaling 76 students. Data wereanalyzed using the Spearman rank test. As many as 76.6% of the 55 clerkshipstudent respondents had good knowledge of occupational safety and health, and asmany as 72.3% of respondents had good application of occupational safety andhealth. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relationship betweenthe level of knowledge and the application of occupational safety and health(P<0.05). The better the knowledge that clerkship students have, the better theimplementation of work safety and health will be.
