AN ANALYSIS OF CODE SWITCHING AND CODE MIXING FOUND IN THE VIDEO PODCAST “BICARA CINTA” ON PUELLA ID YOUTUBE CHANNEL

This study aims to identify the types of code switching and code mixing used by Cinta Laura, and to analyze the factors of the speaker switch the languages in relation to code switching and code mixing in the video podcast “Bicara Cinta” on Puella ID YouTube channel. This study used a descriptive qualitative method by applied table to present the finding of data analysis, the occurrence from type and the factor have been put and counted in the tables, and used a description in the data, by code switching and code mixing utterance. This study applied theory from Hoffman (1991) and the theory from Hamers and Blanc (1989). The findings of the data from code switching is 84 data, divided into 59 data of Intra-Sentential Switching, 10 data of Inter-Sentential Switching, and 15 data of Emblematic Switching or Tag Switching. From the three types of code switching, the Inter-Sentential Switching is least and the type Intra-Sentential switching is the dominant data in Cinta Laura and her guest utterances. The finding of the data from code mixing there are 116 data. The data divided into the type Intra-Sentential Code Mixing found 91 data, the type IntraLexical Code Mixing found 14 data, and the type Involving a Change of Pronunciation found 9 data, that means the dominant type found in the utterance by Cinta Laura and her guest star is Intra-Sentential Code Mixing, and the least data found is involving a change of pronunciation type. For the type of factor finding there are found 198 data, the data divided into: Talking about a Particular Topic found 72 data, this is the most dominant factors using by Cinta Laura and her guest stars in her Podcast, Quoting Somebody Else is only found 1 data this is the least type of factor, Being Emphatic about Something found 23 data, 26 data found of type of Interjection, the type A Repetition used for Clarification is found 23 data, and the last type is Expressing Group Identity found 53 data.
