MORAL VALUE IN “TURNING RED” MOVIE

This study is concerned with the Moral Values in the Turning Red Film. Turning Red Movie has reached number one on Disney Plus. This study aims to analyze the types of moral values contained in this film. This study applies a theory from Linda & Eyre (1993) about moral value, which is further supported by a theory from Halliday & Hassan (1985) about context of situation. The observation method is used in this study to gather research data, and the qualitative descriptive approach is used to analyze the data once it has been gathered. The research findings revealed two different categories of moral values, which are moral value of being and moral value of giving with total of 13 data. Value of being including 2 moral values of courage, 2 moral values of peace and Value of giving including 2 moral values of loyalty and dependability, 2 moral values of kindness and hospitality, 1 moral values of selflessness and sensitivity, 1 moral values of love and compassion. Also, 3 Moral Values Respect.
