Abstract

Mesiodens is defined as an anomaly number of teeth, commonly it is found in children and located in the premaxilla of the palatum. The prevalence is ranged from 0,2 %to 0,8 % in primary dentition and 1,5 % to 3,5 % in the permanent dentition. Ratio in male: female is 2 :1. One of the clinical complications is abnormal central maxillary diastema. Anterior crowded can happened if there is not any treatment, so it is important to treat immediately with orthodontic appliance. Many interceptif orthodontic treatments can do for this case. The aim of this study was to evaluate the interceptif orthodontic treatment using bracket and safety pin. It was reported a case of 7 years old boy with abnormal central maxillary diastema caused by mesiodens and it was treated with bracket and safety pin. Unproper power caused effect of gingiva hyperplasia The appropriate management of gingiva hyperplasia resulting hopefully treatment.
