MENENTUKAN USIA MELALUI GIGI MENGGUNAKAN METODE DEMIRJIAN, GOLDSTEIN AND TANNER PADA USIA 6 SAMPAI DENGAN 9 TAHUN

Forensic dentistry has an important role in the identification of the bodies with the dental record as one of the keys in the investigation. Demirjian, Goldstein and Tanner is one method that use in determining estimation of age through radiographs on children phase that make 7 left region mandibular permanent teeth on the x-ray of the panoramic as a predictor. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of the method of Demirjian, Goldstein and Tanner at the age 6-9. In this study, Demirjian, Goldstein and Tanner method tested on panoramic radiographs results of 30 samples of pediatric patients who come to the Dental Hospital Faculty of Dentistry Mahasaraswati Denpasar University with age range of 6-9 years old. Methods: The method of this study was cross-sectional analytic observational. Chronological age and age estimation of the mean difference was tested using paired t-test. Results: The results of these tests are 0. 129 which showed no significant difference between the mean of chronological age and age Method according to Demirjian, Goldstein and Tanner (p> 0.05). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is the method of Demirjian, Goldstein and Tanner is accurate enough to use in determining age 6-9 years old at the Dental Hospital Faculty of Dentistry Mahasaraswati Denpasar University.
