Abstract

A massive tourism development is more concerned with economic growth rather than environment sustainability. In the other side, the opportunity to promote the agriculture, as one of economic growth contributors through product-based agriculture in tourism sector is not optimized. Integrating the agriculture with current tourism attraction is an alternative to attain a sustainable development, especially in tourism sector. The research aims to define the agriculture potential in Subak Lepud, Baha Village and determine the best strategies to integrating with tourism. The data was collected through field observation and direct interview and SWOT was used to analyze the data. Accordingly, the strategies in consolidating the agriculture and tourism, such as: 1) Development of tourism attraction through agriculture and certain ritual in the Subak, 2) Expanding the market by promoting the local wisdom, agricultural product, and unique attraction that managed by the subak community, 3) Improving the empowerment of the Subak’s member by providing additional revenue from the tourism, and 4) Providing the reward and punishment system that is controlled by the local rule, especially in land use management, human resources enhancement, and protect the sustainability of the agricultural space and Subak itself.
