HUBUNGAN KONVEKSITAS JARINGAN KERAS WAJAH DENGAN PROFIL JARINGAN LUNAK PADA PASIEN RSGM SARASWATI DENPASAR TAHUN 2019-2021

ABSTRACT
One of the goals of orthodontic treatment is to improve facial esthetics so as to form a good dentofacial relation and improve the function of occlusion. Dentists in orthodontic treatment often encounter cases of malocclusion which not only involve dental abnormalities but also skeletal abnormalities. Dental and skeletal abnormalities are influenced by the process of growth and development during the child's growth period. During the growing age of children, there are often cases of unbalanced development between skeletal and dental. This causes occlusion abnormalities in the maxillary and mandibular teeth which then affect the profile of the human face. This study aims to determine the relationship between facial hard tissue convexity and soft tissue profile in patients at the Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar General Hospital in 2019 to 2021. The study was carried out in an analytical observational manner using a cross sectional method. The research only made observations (observations) on the characteristics studied and all research subjects were observed at the same time. In this study, the average hard tissue convexity (mm) and soft tissue profile degree (°) in 2019 to 2021 were 3.625 mm and 15.477° through tracing on the results of cephalometric radiographic photographs of patients at the RSGM Mahasaraswati Denpasar. Based on the research conducted, it was found that there was a strong relationship with the direction of a positive relationship between convexity of facial hard tissue and soft tissue profile in the results of lateral cephalometric radiographs of male and female patients aged 17 years and over at the RSGM Mahasaraswati Denpasar in 2019 to 2021 with all types of malocclusion and no pathological abnormalities in the hard and soft tissue areas of the face and did not use removable or fixed orthodontic appliances.

ABSTRAK
Salah satu tujuan dari perawatan ortodonti adalah untuk memperbaiki estetika wajah sehingga membentuk hubungan dentofasial yang baik serta perbaikan oklusi fungsional. Dokter gigi dalam perawatan ortodonti sering menjumpai kasus maloklusi yang tidak hanya melibatkan kelainan dental tetapi juga kelianan skeletal. Kelainan dental dan skeletal dipengaruhi oleh proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada masa pertumbuhan anak. Selama usia pertumbuhan anak, sering ditemukan kasus perkembangan yang tidak seimbang antara skeletal dan dental. Hal tersebut menyebabkan kelainan oklusi pada gigi rahang atas dan rahang bawah yang kemudian berpengaruh terhadap profil wajah manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konveksitas jaringan keras wajah dengan profil jaringan lunak pada pasien RSGM Saraswati Denpasar pada tahun 2019 sampai 2021. Penelitian dilakukan secara observasional analitik dengan metode cross sectional. Penelitian hanya melakukan pengamatan (observasi) terhadap ciri-ciri yang diteliti dan semua subyek penelitian diamati pada waktu yang sama. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil rata-rata konveksitas jaringan keras (mm) dan derajat profil jaringan lunak (°) pada tahun 2019 sampai 2021 adalah sebesar 3,625 mm dan 15,477° melalui tracing pada hasil foto radiografi sefalometri pasien di RSGM Saraswati Denpasar Denpasar. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, ditemukan adanya hubungan yang kuat dengan arah hubungan positif antara konveksitas jaringan keras wajah dan profil jaringan lunak pada hasil foto radiografi sefalometri lateral pasien lakilaki dan perempuan yang berusia 17 tahun keatas di RSGM Saraswati Denpasar pada tahun 2019 sampai 2021 dengan semua jenis maloklusi serta tidak terdapat kelainan patologis di daerah jaringan keras dan jaringan lunak wajah dan tidak memakai piranti ortodonti lepas maupun cekat.
