PERSEPSI MAHASISWA RISET SITADEWIKU TENTANG KONSERVASI IN SITU GELATIK JAWA (Lonchura oryzivora) DI HUTAN ADAT DEMULIH MELALUI PENDEKATAN PHOTOVOICE

Abstrak

Burung gelatik jawa (Lonchura oryzivora) di Indonesia sudah masuk dalam daftar red list of threatened species oleh International Union for Conservation of Natural Resources (IUCN). Akhir-akhir ini burung tersebut jarang dijumpai di alam, karena populasinya yang sangat menurun, oleh sebab itu perlu adanya upaya konservasi untuk mencegah kepunahannya. Disisi lain hutan adat Demulih dijadikan tempat konservasi burung gelatik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur persepsi mahasiswa riset Sitadewiku tentang konservasi in situ Gelatik di hutan adat Demulih. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Februari-April 2022 di hutan adat Demulih dengan melibatkan mahasiswa riset Sitadewiku dengan pendekatan photovoice sebagai subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur persepsi mahasiswa riset Sitadewiku adalah foto, pedoman wawancara semiterstruktur, logbook dan recorder. Foto FGD I dan FGD II dideskripsikan dengan cara mengelompokkan foto dengan fokus hutan adat (lingkungan), burung gelatik (konservasi), pura (budaya). Pada tahap FGD I pertisipan menghasilkan beberapa tema dengan persentase berbeda-beda ekologi 57%; ekonomi 18%; efektif 19%; dan efisien 6%. Sedangkan pada tahap FGD II partisipan menghasilkan beberapa tema yakni ekologi 54%; ekonomi 23%; efektif 15%; efisien 8%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa riset Sitadewiku terbukti dari luasnya materi diskusi yang dapat dieksplorasi dan dapat mendeskripsikan pengetahuannya tentang hutan adat berbasis konservasi burung dalam sebuah komunitas belajar.

Abstract

Java sparrow (Lonchura oryzivora) in Indonesia already is on the “red list of threatened species” for “The International Union for Conservation of Natural Resources (IUCN). In recent years the bird has rarely been seen in nature, since its population is extremely low, and thus needs conservation efforts to prevent its extinction. On the other side of the indigenous forest Demulih to a conservation area Java sparrow. The study is meant to measure Sitadewiku research students' perception of conservation in situ Java sparrow in the indigenous forest Demulih. The study was conducted in February - April of 2022 in the indigenous forest of Demulih involving Sitadewiku research students with an approach to photovoice as a research subject. It's a qualitative study. The instrument used to gauge the perceptions of Sitadewiku research student is a photo, a semi-structured interview guide, a logbook, and a recorder. Pictures of FGD I and FGD II are described by grouping the photos with a focus on indigenous (environment) forests, feather birds, and Pura (culture). At the phase FGD I at the intersection produce several themes with varying degrees of ecology 57%; Economy 18%; Effectively 19%; And efficient 6%. Whereas at the FGD II participants were producing several ecological themes of 54%; Economy at 23%; Effective at 15%; 8% efficient. The conclusion of this study indicates an increase in my student's knowledge of sitadmy research is evidenced by the vast range of discussions that could be explored and could describe his knowledge of bird-conservation indigenous forests in the study community.
