ANALISIS STRATEGI PENGARUH AGAMA KRISTEN KATOLIK DI BIDANG EKONOMI DAN PENDIDIKAN DI MALUKU PADA TAHUN 1522-1580

Abstrak

Penyebaran agama Kristen Katolik di seluruh dunia tidak terlepas dari bangsa-bagsa besar Eropa seperti Portugis dan Spanyol yang melakukan penaklukan daerah-daearah baru untuk mengambil hasil kekayaan dan meyebarkan keyakinan di daeah-daerah baru yang mereka tempati. Pada abad pertengahan rempah-rempah dan cengkeh merupakan komoditi yang paling mahal harganya di pasar internasional. Mahanya harga rempah-rempah membuat bangsa Portugis dan Spanyol giat mencari sumber rempah-rempah. Pada tahun 1512 bangsa Portugis tiba di Maluku dengan menggunakan kapal yang dipimpin oleh Alfonso de Albuguerque untuk rempah-rempah seperti cengkeh sambal mempromosikan agama Kristen Katolik. Berdasarakan latar belakang di atas maka permasalahan penelitian dirumuskan 1) Bagaimanakah situasi atau kondisi masyarakat Maluku sebelum bangsa Portugis membawa pengaruh agama Kristen Katolik? 2) Bagaimanakah sistem ekonomi dan pendidikan yang dikembangkan oleh para pastor sebagai strategi dalam meyebarkan agama Kristen Katolik oleh para Pastor di Maluku? Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini A) Tujuan Umum agar pembaca dapat mengetahui tentang kondisi dan situasi sebelum dan sesudah masuknya pengaruh agama Kristen Katolik di Maluku. B) Tujuan khusus 1) Untuk mengetahui situasi atau kondisi masyarakat Maluku sebelum masuknya pengaruh agama Kristen Katolik yang dibawakan oleh bangsa Portugis 2) Untuk mengetahui system ekonomi dan pendidikan sebagai Strategi dalam meyebarkan agama Kristen Katolik oleh para Pastor di Maluku? Sebelum Portugis datang ke Maluku pada tahun 1522 masyarakat Maluku terlebih dahulu memeluk agama Islam dan sebagian daerah pedalaman masih menganut keparcyaan animisme dan dinamisme. Sejalan dengan melakukan monopoli perdaganag rempah-rempah di tanah Maluku bangsa Portugis juga melakukan penyebaran agama Kristen Katolik yang ditugaskan kepada pastor. Dalam meyebarakan agama Kristen Katolik para pastor tidak menekankan pada hal yang bersifat doktrin, melainkan menerapkan hal-hal baru yang menarik perhatian masyarakat seperti menyanyi, menyalakan lilin, megajarkan doa, dan melakukan ritual gerejani

The spread of Catholic Christianity throughout the world was inseparable from the great Nations of Europe such as the Portuguese and Spanish who conquered new areas to take wealth and spread their faith in the new regions they occupied. In the middle of spices and cloves is the most expensive commodity on the international market, Mahanya spice prices make the Portuguese and Spanish actively looking for sources of spices. In 1512 the Portuguese arrived in Maluku on a ship led by Alfonso de Albuguerque to trade spices such as cloves in the land of Maluku sambal promoting Catholic Christianity. Based on the above background, the research problem is formulated 1) What is the situation or condition of the moluccan community before the Portuguese people brought the influence of Catholic Christianity? 2) How is the Economic and Educational system developed by the pastors as a Strategy in spreading Catholic Christianity by pastors in Maluku? The purpose of this study A) General Purpose so that readers can know about the conditions and situations before and after the inclusion of the influence of Catholic Christianity in maluku. B) Special purpose 1) To know the situation or condition of the moluccan community before the inclusion of the influence of Catholic Christianity presented by the Portuguese nation 2) To know the Economic and Educational system as a Strategy in spreading catholic Christianity by pastors in Maluku? Before the Portuguese bagnsa came to Maluku in 1522 the People of Maluku first converted to Islam and some of the hinterland still adhered to the animism and dynamism. In line with the monopoly of spice trading in the land of Maluku portugugis nation also conducted the spread of Catholic Christianity assigned to the pastor. In the catholic Christianity the pastors do not emphasize the doctrinal, but rather apply new things that attract the attention of the public such as singing, lighting candles, praying, and performing ecclesiastical rituals
