Abstract

Sawi merupakan jenis sayuran yang disukai oleh masyarakat karena banyak memberikan manfaat serta memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Pupuk organik lebih ramah lingkungan dibandingkan dengan pupuk anorganik sebab tidak merusak struktur akar maupun tanah, diantaranya pupuk organik yang dapat digunakan yaitu pupuk kascing. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh berat media tanah terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau serta untuk mengetahui berat media tanah yang paling baik mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau. Peneltian ini telah dilaksanakan dikebun kalpataru Jl. Sedap Malam, Sanur, Denpasar Selatan pada bulan febuary sampai Maret 2022. Penelitin ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yaitu pemberian media tanah dengan 6 perlakuan ( B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 dan B6) yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, panjang akar, berat segar total tanaman, berat kering oven total tanaman, berat segar akar tanaman dan berat kering oven akar tanaman. Perlakuan berat media tanah berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sawi hijau, perlakuan (B1) Berat media tanah 5 kg tanah+50 g pupuk kascing merupakan media yang baik untuk pertumbuhan tanaman sawi hijau. ABSTRACT
Mustard is a type of vegetable that is preferred by the community because it provides many benefits and has high economic value. Organic fertilizers are more environmentally friendly than inorganic fertilizers because they do not damage the structure of the roots or soil, including organic fertilizers that can be used, namely vermicompost fertilizer. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the weight of the soil media on the growth and yield of mustard greens and to determine the weight of the soil media that best affected the growth and yield of mustard greens. This research has been carried out in the Kalpataru garden on Jl. Sedap Malam, Sanur, South Denpasar from february to March 2022. This study used a randomized block design, namely giving soil media with 6 treatments (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 and B6) which repeated 4 times. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root length, total fresh weight of plants, total oven dry weight of plants, fresh weight of plant roots and oven dry weight of plant roots. The weight treatment of the soil media had a very significant effect on the growth of mustard greens, treatment (B1) The weight of the soil media 5 kg of soil + 50 g of vermicompost fertilizer was a good medium for the growth of mustard greens.
