Abstract
The study aims at finding out the types of slang and analyzing the process of creating slang word. The data were taken from Blackbear’s song lyrics on cybersex album. This study applied observation method in collecting the data. Descriptive qualitative method was applied in analyzing the data in this study. There are two theories applied in analyzing the data, namely the theory of types by Chapman (2007) and the theory process of creating slang word by Yule (1985). The result of this study shows that the primary slang was found 23 with the total 76% of slang word and the secondary slang was found 7 with the total 24% of slang word. For the process of creating slang word, there are 6 types that fulfilled from 9 types. First is blending occurrences 5 with 25% of slang word, clipping was found 7 with 35% of slang word, coinage was found 2 with 10% of slang word, compounding was found 4 with 32% of slang word, acronym was found 1 with 5% of slang word and the last is borrowing was found 1 with 5% of slang word.
