ANALISIS PONT PADA PASIEN ORTODONSIA DI RSGM SARASWATI DENPASAR

ABSTRACT
The size of the dental arch has broad implications in the field of orthodontics, especially in diagnosis and treatment planning in influencing the available space, aesthetics and stability of the teeth. The aim of this study is to to determine the size of the maxillary arch with Pont analysis at RSGM Saraswati Denpasar and to see identify the accuracy of the Pont analysis in measuring the width of the maxillary dental arch in the study model of RSGM Saraswati Denpasar. This study is an analytical observational research by taking purposive sampling in the form of 30 study models maxillary dental of RSGM Saraswati Denpasar which has the appropriate criteria. The measurement was done by comparing maxillary interpremolar widht with premolar index and maxillary intermolar widht with molar index. The result of this study showed that there is significant differences between measurement of maxillary interpremolar widht with premolar index and maxillary intermolar widht with molar index of study model at RSGM Saraswati Denpasar with Chi-square test results, p = 0.001. The conclusion of this study is that the width of the interpremolars present, 30% samples included mild degree contractions, 3,3% mild degree contraction sample, 40% mild degree distraction samples, 6,7% medium degree distraction samples and 6,7% extreme degree distraction samples. Meanwhile, intermolar, 16,7% samples including mild degree contraction, 3,3% medium degree contraction sample, 30% mild degree distraction sample, 30% medium degree distraction sample and 6,7% extreme degree distraction sample.

ABSTRAK
Ukuran lengkung gigi mempunyai implikasi yang luas pada bidang ortodonti khususnya dalam diagnosa dan rencana perawatan dalam mempengaruh ruangan yang tersedia, estetika dan stabiltas gigi. Oleh karena itu, berbagai indeks diagnostik telah diusulkan untuk membantu memprediksi pertumbuhan lengkung gigi dan membantu perencanaan perawatan, salah satunya Indeks Pont. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran lebar n lengkung rahang atas dengan indeks pont pada RSGM Saraswati Denpasar serta melihat keakuratan indeks Pont dalam mengukur lebar lengkung gigi rahang atas pada model studi RSGM Saraswati Denpasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan mengambil purposive sampling berupa 30 model studi rahang atas RSGM Saraswati Denpasar yang memiliki kriteria yang sesuai. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil lebar interpremolar dengan indeks premolar dan intermolar dengan indeks molar. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara lebar interpremolar dengan indeks premolar dan intermolar dengan indeks molar pada model studi di RSGM Saraswati Denpasar dengan hasil Uji Chi-square, p = 0,001. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini lebar interpremolar, 30% sample termasuk dalam kontraksi mild degree, 3,3% sampel kontrkasi mild degree, 140% sampel distraksi mild degree, 6,7% sampel distraksi medium degree dan 6,7% sampel distraksi extreme degree. Sedangkan, lebar intermolar, 16,7% sampel termasuk kontrkasi mild degree, 3,3% sampel kontraksi medium degree, 30% sampel distraksi mild degree, 30% sampel distraksi medium degree dan 6,7% sampel distraksi extreme degree.
