THE CORRELATION BETWEEN GRAMMAR MASTERY AND WRITING ABILITY OF THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMA (SLUA) SARASWATI 1 DENPASAR IN ACADEMY YEAR 2021/2022 2021/2022

As a skill, writing is one of the difficult skills to be mastered by the students. Even so, as a student we should to mastered writing skill. Because this is one of the productive language skills that can be read by the readers. In this study, the researcher wants to know there is any significant correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability of the eleventh-grade students of SMA (SLUA) Saraswai 1 Denpasar in academic year 2021/2022. The research design was classroom action research. The subjects of the study were 15% from 163 of the eleventh-grade students of SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar, which consisted of 24 students. Based on the result, it was found the score of Shapiro-Wilk for the grammar mastery was 0.238 and 0.101 for the writing ability. The result of the homogeneity testing using SPSS 24program, was found 0.114 for the homogeneity testing which means that 0.114 is higher than 0,05. Meanwhile, the result for the person correlation was 0.977. Then, the significant value was 0.000. Besides, based on the Paired-Sample Test, the result found that the value of Sig. (2- tailed) was 0.000. The result of the t-test was very significant accepted of the eleventh-grade students of SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar in academic year 2021/2022 because 0.000< 0.05.
