The Correlation Between Extrovert and Introvert Personality Toward Speaking Skill of The Eleventh-Grade Students of SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar in Academic Year 2023/2024

The objective of this research was to find out the correlation between extrovert and introvert personality toward speaking skill of the eleventh-grade students in SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar in academic year 2023/2024. The design of this study was ex post facto research correlational study. The population of this study was the eleventh-grade students in SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar. The sample of this study was 48 students which were taken with cluster sampling method. Furthermore, the extrovert and introvert personality questionnaire and speaking test were used as the research instrument. The research instruments were made in order to collect the required data. Then, the data were analysed by using SPSS 26 version. There were two steps to analyse the data, namely pre-requisite analysis and hypothesis testing. The hypothesis testing was conducted by applying Pearson Product Moment Correlation and T-test. Based on the finding in Pearson Product Moment it got the result 0.468 for (Extrovert - Speaking Skill) and it got the result 0.393 for (Introvert - Speaking Skill). It shows that there was a significant correlation between extrovert and introvert personality toward speaking skill of the eleventh-grade students in SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar.
