THE USE OF ESA ANIMATION VIDEO TO IMPROVE WRITING SKILL FOR THE SEVENTH GRADE OF SMP NEGERI 12 DENPASAR IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023

Learning has achievements, the achievement elements contained in learning English are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Writing always connected to the all the student’s activity in school. Every student has the different writing skill. In school writing skill needs some creativity from the students for find conveying the ideas. This research tries to investigate whether the writing skill of the seventhgrade students of SMP Negeri 12 Denpasar in academic year 2022-2023 can be improved by Engage, Study, Activate through Animation Video. Subject consists of 40 students; 19 males; 21 females. The research’s design was Classroom Action Research. It was done in two cycle and every cycle consisted 2 sessions. The finding of the research revealed that the student’s achievement in writing a paragraph about descriptive paragraph has increased after implementing ESA through Animation Video in teaching-learning process. The data result in this research showed there were significant improvement of the subject. Mean score in Pretest was 74.87, Posttest I was 79,67 and Pos-test II was 83,22. For supporting the data the researcher also gave the questioner in the last cycle. The result showed 97% the subjects were agreed on the implementation of Engage, Study, activate through animation video in improving writing skill. In summary that writing skill of the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Denpasar in academic year 2022/2023 could be improve through ESA Animation Video.
