THE CORRELATON BETWEEN VOCABULARY MASTERY AND ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION TEXT WRITING ABILITY OF THE TWELVE GRADE STUDENTS OF SMAN 1 MENGWI IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023

This research is aimed at finding out the correlation between student vocabulary mastery and their ability in writing analytical exposition text of the twelve grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Mengwi in academic year 2022/2023. The population of this research was 43 students of the twelve grade. They were determined by using simple random sampling. In collecting the data, the researcher used two kind of instruments which were cloze task for vocabulary mastery test and writing analytical exposition. The data gathered in this study were analysed by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation in SPSS Statistic 25. The result of the data analysis and statistical calculation was 0.868 The finding of this study reveals that there is a significant correlation between students' vocabulary mastery and ability in writing analytical exposition text at of the twelve grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Mengwi.
