THE CORRELATION BETWEEN ENGLISH VOCABULARY MASTERY AND COMMUNICATION SKILL OF THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMK PGRI 3 BADUNG ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022

The undertaking of the research was mainly based on a preliminary study. The objective was the objective of this research is to find out the correlation between English vocabulary mastery and communication skill of the tenth-grade students of SMK PGRI 3 Badung academic year 2021/2022. The researcher conducted an Ex Post Facto research which was done by administering the tests to the students. The subjects were 40 students. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 25.0 which be used to compare the measurement result of the two different variables in order to determine whether there is a correlation between these two variables or not. The results showed a significant correlation between students’ English vocabulary mastery and communication skill. It could be stated that there is a significant correlation between English vocabulary mastery and communication skill of the tenth grade students of SMK PGRI 3 Badung in academic year 2021/2022.
