CODE-SWITCHING USED BY DENY SUMARGO IN HIS YOUTUBE VIDEO CURHAT BANG WITH ONADIO LEONARDO

This study aims to investigate utterances concerned about Code-switching. The focus of this study is to identify the types of Code-switching actions that were uttered by the speakers in the video and to analyze what are the reasons in the use of code-switching that were uttered by Deny Sumargo and his guest Onadio Leonardo. This analysis is based on the theory of Hoffman (1991). The method used in analyzing the data in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. There were 71 data successfully found in the video related to the type of codeswitching. Data calculation results have shown that the first type of codeswitching, Intra sentential code-switching dominated the data. Based on the table there were 36 or 50,7% data of intra sentential code-switching that uttered by Deny Sumargo and his guest Onadio Leonardo and followed by inter sentential code 21 (29,6%) data Tag switching 14 (19,7%) data.
