Abstract
This study aims to analyze the moral values presented in the movie series The Summer I Turned Pretty, focusing on their influence on character development and the storyline. The primary data source consists of episodes 3 to 7 of the series, which provide a comprehensive depiction of moral values embedded in the characters’ interactions and narrative progression. The research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, supported by Linda and Richard Eyre's (1997) theory of moral values, which categorizes these values into Values of Being (such as honesty, courage, and self-confidence) and Values of Giving (such as love, kindness, and respect). The analysis reveals seven distinct moral values—love, affection, courage, honesty, respect, self-confidence, and responsibility—depicted through significant scenes and character interactions. These values play a vital role in shaping personal growth, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships among the characters. The study highlights the educational and ethical significance of moral values in visual media, emphasizing their potential to provide meaningful insights into character development and moral education
